Hello Gemma!

     I hope that your Easter celebrations have gone well. The 
weather is wonderful here this time of year. Easter has come and 
spring is in full bloom. The flowers have bright colors and birds 
are making little nests right outside the kitchen window. The 
weather is cool and bright with gentle breezes coming from the 
ocean air. I hope that your family and friends have had a 
wonderful time during this joyous season.


    
     It was such a wonderful pleasure to receive your letter in 
the mail Gemma. The new photo of you is great! You know something? 
With each new photo that you send you look more beautiful all the 
time. And that dress you are wearing is very pretty with lots of 
nice bright colors. Thank you very much.

      Did you receive the tape of the song that I wrote for you? I 
hope that you like it. I don't know if it is your style of music 
yet it was a lot of fun to compose and is my special gift to you. 
     
     And thank you for providing the plans for how to get to 
Toledo. I think that there will be no problem arriving at your 
home and the trip should be a lot of fun. It looks like the trip 
to Toledo will be sometime in mid June but I am not sure of the 
exact date yet. Is June real hot in the Philippines? The weather 
in California is generally very mild. So real hot weather may take 
some getting used to.  Nevertheless, I know that it will be a real 
pleasure and a wonderful adventure to visit with you and your 
family in your home in Toledo. I wonder, can you tell me 
something? You mentioned that where you live there are lots of 
guards all around. What are all the guards for? Do I have to show 
my passport to them when I come to see you?       

     You know Gemma it was so nice to hear from you again because 
I had been waiting every day for a letter from you. And what a 
pleasure it was to receive your new letter and the beautiful 
photo! I wonder,is it possible for you to use L.B.C. postal 
service from your town? L.B.C. is very fast delivery. The regular 
mail takes a very long time. I think that L.B.C. can deliver a 
letter from you in about four days. The regular mail can take 
several weeks. So if you can use L.B.C. mail service let me know 
ok? I will help you with postage so that will be no problem. And I 
will enclose a little bit for L.B.C. mail in this letter.

     Oh and by the way. It was me who had the little questionnaire 
sent to you. Were you surprised? You weren't supposed to know that 
it was me who requested it. It was supposed to be a big secret. Yet I 
can see that you already solved the mystery. You see, when a guy 
is interested in a girl from your country it is a good idea for 
him to sent the little questionnaire to her. That way we can find 
out our similarities and/or differences on some basic subjects. It 
is a real time saver because letter writing can take a long time 
to accomplish the same thing. Anyway, thank you very much Gemma 
for filling out the little form. It meant a lot to me. I found it 
to be very interesting and a real pleasure to read. I liked the 
things that you said.And I can see that we have a lot in common. I 
also have a couple of questions too. So if it is ok with you, I 
wonder if I may ask you about a couple of things in the next few 
letters? Is that ok? There are a couple of things you wrote that I 
don't quite understand.  Maybe you can help me figure them out. 
Anyway, the main thing is if we can correspond through L.B.C.. If 
we could it would be really great. Remember, I will be starting 
my vacation soon so lets write to each other as much as possible 
ok? It was so nice to hear from you again Gemma. And I know I will 
really enjoy all the letters that you send in the future. I'm 
looking every day for a new letter from you.
