IMPULSE VIDEO FREEZE FRAME DIGITIZER MODEL NUMBER #VD1 The VD1 Video Digitizer is a "TRUE" NTSC freeze frame that grabs incoming video images at the rate of 1/60th or 1/30th of a second. This relates directly to the frame and field rate of NTSC signals. Once the image is captured through the use of the digitizing software, you can then manipulate this image in any manner that you wish. The software that allows this manipulation is called Diamond. (for further information on Diamond please refer to the Diamond Spec Sheet) All images are captured in Overscan and can be saved in the following formats: RGBN, RGBN4 and IFF (ILBM) The VD1 is also a Frame Buffer, which will utilize 24 bit picture files generated by Turbo Silver 3.0. When used in Frame Buffer mode, the 24 bit files are sent from the Amiga through the VD1 and displayed through the NTSC ouput of the VD1. This allows high resolution full color images to be displayed or dumped to tape for frame by frame animation.
