talk
binary
from usr.tar.gz
doesn't work for me.
I always get this message:
[Couldn't bind to control socket : Cannot assign requested address (99)]
talk user@localhost
instead of just talk user
. I don't know if
this is a problem of talk or the networking code - or probably it's just
my system that's badly configured.
ioctl()'s
) seems to be very unstable, too. Probably with more and
more users with CD-ROM drives discovering this effect, bugs will soon be
found and squashed.
Right now simple commands like CDROMPLAYTRKIND
seem to work, but more
complex commands like CDROMREADTOCHDR
fail with SCSI timeout
messages. The low-level part of the SCSI driver
(drivers/scsi/wd33c93.c
) requires some rework to do its job
better. Volunteers?Next Chapter, Previous Chapter
