A Hurricane Of Games
(*)

Hurricane Software where founded in the 1989 and plan to bring us many new games this year and next which have been in development for some time. This week, I plan to take a look at there first game, Eat The Whistle which is very interesting because it is the first new football game aimed for the Amiga.

(Eat_The_Whistle__Final_Attack)The game has been divided into two main modes, than two distinguishes styles of play, Arcade and Simulation. There will be about ten teams scattered all over the world and by selecting one, you have to beat all others in short matches, travelling in the respective nations. Each team will have there own good and bad points for example example "CongoBongo" has a great speed, passing ability is poor, and a shot is strong but unprecise; otherwhise "Damenuterhosen" excels in tackle, but not in speed, and his goalkeeper is super. There will be bonus levels, ability tests that increases the accumulate points.

You will be able to pick at what difficulty level you want to play at - Beginner, Amateur and at Expect. At the start of arcade you can chose the "verus mode" where you can play against a friend or with him/her in the same team, against a team controlled by the CPU or controlled by other one or two human players using the 4 Joystick adaptor. If your friend is too good then you can put a handicap on him which is a very clever idea to even up the match.

(Eat_The_Whistle__Yellow_Card)Simulation Mode will allow you to play in various tournaments organized with national teams. In the future Hurriance Software will try to gain permission to implement club teams and their real player names of the first English, German, and Italian leagues, with different parameters for each player, like speed, tackle, heading, etc.
