AmigaSoc gives thanks to all who helped at the Devcon

Although the DevCon did not go quite according to plan, AmigaSoc feels that such events can be extremely valuable to the Amiga Developer Community. Since forging links with Gateway, they have agreed to allow AmigaSoc to organise other DevCons in the future, albeit learning from some of the things that happened at our last attempt.

We are sure that the Amiga developer community (and also Gateway/Amiga International) will welcome any such moves, and hopefully open the door to similar events in other countries (which we will do our best to facilitate). Once again, we prove that we at AmigaSoc are willing to put our money where our mouth is.

AmigaSoc would like to formally thank the following people (in no particular order) for their assistance without which this event would not have been possible:

Kermit Woodall - Chairperson (and mediator)
Ben Vost - Supply of equipment (Amiga Format's A4000)
Glenn Clarke - Organiser
Ash Thomas - IRC moderator
Tushar Joshi - IRC bot
Julian Sadotti - Official AmigaSoc DevCon T-Shirts
Fasih Rehman - Financial support from E++
The Jay Miner Society for the Future of Personal Computing

...and all the others that we've forgotten to mention by name!
