  • The plot:
Kart Fighter is a home made NES game that mixes Street Fighter II's gameplay with the characters inspired by Mario Kart. You can play clones of Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong, Toad, Princess Toadstool, Yoshi, Koopa, and Bowser. Kart Fighter is one of the better home made games. The music and sound is pretty good, as are the graphics, even if many are taken from other games. Their are some minor sprite errors.
  • How To Play:
As for actual gameplay, it's not too bad. You can punch, kick, jump kick, jump punch, etc. Each character has special moves (most of them are similar to the ones in SFII), usually a projectile attack and a charge attack. Most of the elements from SFII are here, with the exception of blocking. The AI is pretty dumb though, and you can get the enemies to walk into the same move again and again.
  • Cheats:
    None Available.(Yet?)
  • Comment:
One of the few Street Fighter II clones available on the NES. Much of the information in this review is based on the review from the Classic Gaming web site at http://www.classicgaming.com/rotw/kfstf.shtml. - Mathew R. Ignash (mignash@rust.net)
