S7:36 PMSMS hCREATE LOG - Select "OPEN LOG" and "CREATE LOG" from the menu. You are allowed 8 characters for the log name. Use alphanumeric characters which are compatible with the DOS file naming convention. Spaces may be used, but will be converted to the underbar character ( _ ). S7:39 PMSMS OPEN LOG - Select "OPEN LOG" and "OPEN EXISTING LOG" from the menu. Use the cursor keys to select the log you wish to open and press enter. Notice that the active log indicator shows the log you selected. Any changes or references will be made to this log. S7:44 PMSMS CHANGE PATH - Select "OPEN LOG" and "CHANGE PATH" from themenu. Enter the new path name. If the path name is not valid an error message will be displayed. Check the path name in this message for proper spelling and placement of backslashes ( \ ). S8:06 PMSMS MAKE ENTRY - Select "MAKE ENTRY" from the main menu. A blank page of the log is displayed. The page consists of three parts: the timestamp, which is automatically assigned; the name field, used to identify the person making the entry; and the description area. S8:11 PMSMS The description area consists of 5 lines of 60 characters each. You may press {ESC} at anytime to return to the mainmenu. If your text does not fill the entire description area, press {ENTER} until the options menu is displayed. S8:19 PMSMS INDEX - The Index allows you to attach an entry to a Topicyou create. You can attach any number of entries to a single Topic, and create as many Topics as you wish. To attach a new entry to an Index Topic, select "SAVE WITH OPTIONS" when you are ready to save the current entry. S8:23 PMSMS "CREATE INDEX" allows you to define a new Index Topic for the current entry. "ADD TO INDEX" gives you a list of previously defined Topics to choose from. You may also attach an entry to a Index at anytime while you are reading the log. S8:37 PMSMS REMINDER - The reminder provides a method of date-tagging an entry so that it can easily be located at a later date.To attach a reminder to a new entry, select "SAVE WITH OPTIONS" when you are ready to save the current entry. S9:02 PMSMS VIEWING - Selecting "READ LOG" and "FIRST ENTRY" will display the very first entry in the active log. "READ LOG"and "LAST PAGE" opens the log to the most recent entry. You may now page through the entries by choosing "NEXT PAGE" and "PREV PAGE". S9:09 PMSMS VIEW INDEX - Selecting "READ LOG" and "VIEW INDEX" displays a list of the Index Topics added to the log. Choosing a topic will allow you to view the entries that have been attached to the selected Topic. S9:16 PMSMS VIEW REMINDER - Selecting "READ LOG" and "VIEW REMINDER" allows you to read the entries with Reminder dates equal to or older than the current date ("CURRENT REMINDERS"), or view all entries that have a reminder date attached ("ALL REMINDERS"). S9:26 PMSMS SEARCH - The "READ LOG" "SEARCH" option allows you to viewonly the log entries containing the desired text, or open the log to a given date (or nearest match). S9:31 PMSMS The "SPECIFY TEXT" option allows you to do a text search on the active log. Enter the starting and ending dates of the search, and the text you want to search for. The firstentry containing the text will be displayed. Select "NEXT PAGE" to view the next entry with the selected text. S9:32 PMSMS The "SPECIFY DATE" option allows you open the log to a given date. T6:51 PMSMS To remove a Topic from the Index Topic list select "UTIL" and "DELETE INDEX TOPIC". Select the topic you wish to remove and press {ENTER}. After confirming your selection the Topic will be removed from the list. The entries remain in the log, only the Index is deleted. T7:07 PMSMS RENAME - To rename the active log select "UTIL" and "RENAME ACTIVE LOG". Enter the new name. If this name already exists in the current directory, you will be notified. T7:11 PMSMS DELETE - The active log maybe deleted by selecting "UTIL" and "DELETE ACTIVE LOG". You will be given an opportunity to confirm this selection. Please be aware that this will destroy all of the data in the log. T7:15 PMSMS COPY - The active log may be copied to a new location by selecting "UTIL" and "COPY ACTIVE LOG". You are now prompted for the destination path. LBM will append the name of the active log to the path you request.
