Audio File Selector

AFS is a desktop accessory which can be used with Cubase and other applications. It's a file selector with a difference, selecting an AIF/WAV/AVR file plays it D2D. AFS will be integrated into future SOFTJEE projects.

AUDIOMID

AUDIOMID is the first sound to MIDI translator available for the Atari platform - you can load an audio file and translate it to a MIDI sequence. The sequence can be displayed in key edit mode where it can be played or saved. However, don't expect it to convert your favourite tracks into beautiful scores! Here's a few features:

ExtenDOS Gold

Anodyne Software have recently released this latest version of their popular CD-ROM driver software which provides access to CD-ROMs and audio CDs through most SCSI CD-ROM drives. Sighting!

The composer of the score to the latest Bond movie, David Arnold, uses an ST. In a recent C4 documentary an ST was sighted creating the score in, what looked like, his attic.

ACC '98 Show update

Plans are progressing smoothly towards the Atari Computing Convention which will take place on Saturday November 14th 1998 at Bingley Hall, Staffordshire Showground, Stafford from 10am to 4pm.

The Showground is easily accessible by car from junctions 13 and 14 on the M6 just north of Birmingham with ample free parking and they'll be a shuttle bus service running from Stafford railway and bus stations.

Tickets will cost just œ3 on the door with discount for Atari Computing subscribers with further reductions for children, OAPs, UB40, students and orange card holders.

Since AC#9 The Portfolio Club UK have confirmed they'll take a stand and there's still time to book space - but time is running out! Stands cost a very reasonable œ110 with power including VAT for 18 foot frontage.

Steve and wife Eileen, are looking forward to meeting up with you all again at the Atari Computing Convention in November. As well as bringing along a selection of their current products (Positive Image, EZ-Art Professional, Easy Stitch, Family Roots II, Power Up Plus, Tetris II and their four CD-ROM titles) a number of new PD packs are being compiled as one offs for the event, Positive Image 2 is expected (latest reports suggest further progress has been made, but it's not quite finished yet) and there's a couple of new releases in the pipeline which may well make it in time, including a brand new range of CD-ROM products.

We've also had a few enquiries from overseas exhibitors and we're prepared to offer them a special deal to help offset the travelling costs and make ACC '98 into an international event.
