Let's face it, the winframe that comes with MagiC is pretty bland even if you're used to TOS. These small items of not exactly software make it possible to customise your copy of MagiC to some extent. There are various themes available, each with their own characteristics. Each includes instructions which detail where to copy which files to and so on. To begin with there's ICE, as winter draws closer I suspect this winframe will gain some popularity - it gives your windows an icy sort of look. ** ICE.JPG here ** ** BLUE.JPG here ** ** Caption ** The blue winframe makes your windows - look, errm, blue ** /caption ** However there are also a couple more "complete solutions" to desktop boredom. My favourite theme is Magick - it gives your windows really cool MagicKal gadgets with a hint of Satanism chucked in for good measure. This theme also includes RSC files for Appline and SMU so they fit in with the rest of the theme and there's even a desktop backdrop image of a really evil looking 5 pointed star that really loves being the jinnee backdrop on my system. ** MAGICK.JPG here ** Then there's the Mac OS theme which I really only tested for completeness - it makes your desktop look like Mac OS8, who the hell would want to do that? Although these files don't exactly constitute a program they are very professional looking and work well with the system which in my mind at least justifies the high score. This is one bandwagon I'm hoping other creative types will jump on... Matt Burton
