Deuce, released by Undersoft in Australia, is a classic simple memory game. A grid of tiles covers up various icons, and the player has to match up identical pairs by uncovering two tiles at a time. In one player mode it's played against the clock - or in this case a bomb with a long fuse! Alternatively two players can battle it out by taking control and scoring points for each correct match. The grid size is the only other option allowing 6, 24 or a ridiculous 96 pairs, at which size the icons are too small for comfort.
The game is peppered with a running commentary in the form of a nauseating synthesised voice which comments on how good or bad the last move was. When running it on the faster Mega STe machines this sound like chipmunks with flu! Registration costs between 10 and 20 dollars.
