Overview:

These utilities help you in maintaining a web page by automatically validating your HTML source in several ways. Some of the applications here check the tags in the document for inconsistencies such as un-closed items, typo's and such, while a whole other set of applications here looks through your web pages for links to sites that no longer exist.

You can drag and drop your html documents on this and it returns you a very thorough list of the errors in the HTML in plain english, even tells you exactly which tags conspire to make the error! You can use this program and it'll quickly and easily convert all the filenames, as well as fixing all the references to the renamed files within the html (now htm).
