Overview:

World Wide Web applications are interactive access programs that can be utilized to access data from the Web, FTP, Gopher, and Telnet applications, to name a few. WWW browsers have graphical interfaces and display pictures; in addition, applications viewed through browsers can become "point and click" applications.
