Warp 9 Control Panel 1.6 Update

Version 1.6 of the Warp 9 Control Panel adds a "poor man's randomizer"
feature, with the ability to automatically load a different random
screensaver module at every bootup.  (Sorry, no dynamic random modules
yet...)

This update is from either version 1.5 or 1.51 to version 1.6.


Performing the Update
---------------------

Run the CodeHead Updater program included with this text file, and you'll
see a dialog box with three buttons -- Exit, Info, and Do Update.  Click
the Info button first to see a screen with information about this update.

When you're ready to update your copy of the program, click the button
labeled Do Update and use the file selector to locate and select the
program.  The Updater will read the file, verify that it's the correct
one, then make all the necessary changes and write the file back out to
disk.  A copy of the original file is placed in the same directory,
renamed with a .BAK extension, in the unlikely event that something goes
wrong.

After updating your Warp 9 Control Panel, you should reboot your computer
so that the new version of the desk accessory is loaded.  If you're using
MultiDesk Deluxe, you can simply reload your default setup file to install
the new version.


The Poor Man's Randomizer
-------------------------

To use the randomizer feature, open your updated copy of the Warp 9
Control Panel and go to the EOS configuration page by clicking on the
button labeled 'EOS' at the bottom of the Control Panel.  At the bottom
right of this page, you'll see a new check box labeled 'RANDOM'; it will
be unchecked when you first see it.  Click the box (or the word RANDOM) to
place a checkmark in it; this turns on the randomizer feature. 

The randomizer looks in the current EOS module path for randomly loaded
modules, so it's a good idea to set this path where you want it by
clicking the 'Load' button in the EOS config page and using the file
selector to navigate to the desired path (if it's not already set).  To
set the path, it's not necessary to actually load a module; you can click
the file selector's 'Cancel' button to continue. 

Now save your Control Panel configuration by clicking the 'SAVE' button at
the bottom of the CP.  This saves the state of the 'RANDOM' check box, and
the module path.  And that's all there is to it; the next time you boot
up, the Control Panel will automatically load a random module from the
directory you've selected.

Remember that the EOS module path is saved in the Warp 9 Control Panel's
configuration file, and that the Control Panel saves a different
configuration file for each screen mode.  Since some screensavers don't
work in all screen modes, this lets you set up different paths for the
randomizer in each resolution, containing the modules that work in that
resolution.
