Color Quest By J Peach ----------- Color Quest is a simple game that can really shape up your memory. The game board consists of four color buttons. The object of the game is to remember which buttons the computer or another player selected (in order) while continually adding new buttons to the sequence. Load game: Just double-click the COLRQUST.PRG to load Color Quest. One player game: Once Color Quest is loaded you will see the title screen. To continue, click the left mouse button. You will then have the option of selecting 'start' or 'quit'. If you select 'quit', you will be sent back to the desktop. If 'start' is selected you will then be given a choice of a '1Player' or '2Player' game. Just click the '1Player' option. The mouse pointer will then be placed in the center of the screen and a button at random will be 'pressed' by the computer. You will then be prompted to repeat the sequence the computer has selected. To do this just click on the button that the computer chose at random. A prompt that tells you if you are 'right' or 'wrong' will appear at the top of the screen when you are finished. If you are 'right', the computer will repeat the same sequence and then add an additional button at the end of the sequence. As before, you're prompted to repeat the sequence. You must repeat the sequence in the same order the computer selected it. This continues untill you make a mistake by selecting a wrong button. You will recieve five points for every correct button pressed. A score of 350 is not unusual for a novice. Soon you will be making scores of two and three thousand points. Two player game: This time when you are prompted to select a '1Player' or '2Player' game, click-on the '2Player' game. The mouse pointer will be placed in the center of the screen. A prompt will now appear telling player one to select a button. At this time player one should select any one of the four buttons he or she chooses. Now player two is prompted to repeat what player one just selected. After player two accomplishes this, he or she will be prompted to add a button to the sequence. Player one must now repeat the sequence from the begining to where player two left off, and then add an additional button at the prompt. The game will continue untill either player one or player two makes a mistake. Confused yet? Well it's not as difficult as it sounds. Each player will recieve five points for every completed sequence. Tips: Since each button makes a distinctively different sound, it may help you to remember a sequence by paying close attention to these sounds. Also I've found it easier to remember a sequence by counting each button that is pressed by the computer. It's also highly recomended that you have a punching bag next to your computer in the event of pressing an incorrect button(computers are expensive to replace). Good luck!!!
