SHREDR v1.1 May 20, 1990 This new version is several times faster than the previous one. It's still no speed demon, but there is a large improvement. A 400K file, erased from a floppy disk, now takes about 4 minutes to shred. If you never tried a large file with the initial version you don't want to know how long it used to take, trust me. When using SHREDR remember that it is overwriting the file twice, thus doubling the amount of time needed to complete the operation. The shareware version of SHREDR ("Shredr Plus") allows you to specify the number of times a file will be overwritten. If you want to compromise speed for security it is possible to set it for just one overwrite. One item that isn't mentioned in the built in documentation is that you can use either mouse button to select the icons. As always, your comments are most welcome. Do Not Stamp Software
