Title : Stalker Filename : STALKER.WAD Author : Chuck Jordan Email Address : CHUCKRJ@DELPHI.COM Misc. Author Info : Description : Designed specifically for deathmatches, with lots of hiding places and a few good sniper positions Additional Credits to : Id software, naturally Brendon Wyber and Raphael Quinet -- DEU was already impressive and it keeps getting better! Doug Mulkey -- for playtesting and suggestions ================================================================ * Play Information * Episode and Level # : E1,M1 Single Player : Not really (see below*) Cooperative 2-4 Player : Not really (see below*) Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes Difficulty Settings : Yes (see below*) New Sounds : No New Graphics : No New Music : No Demos Replaced : None * All difficulty settings from "Hurt me plenty" down have no monsters. "Ultra-Violence" and "Nightmare" have lots of monsters. So, it's possible to play in single-player and cooperative modes, but I can't imagine that it's any fun. * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Editor(s) used : DEU 5.1 and 5.2, BSP Known Bugs : If you find any bugs, please let me know! * Copyright / Permissions * Authors MAY use this level as a base to build additional levels. You MAY distribute this WAD, provided you include this file, with no modifications. You may distribute this file in any electronic format (BBS, Diskette, CD, etc) as long as you include this file intact. * Comments * As the name suggests, the idea was to have to stalk your opponent, instead of just being dropped into a big pit with guns a-blazing. I'm still trying to hit on what the right mixture is for a deathmatch level, and I'd like to hear any suggestions. Should the level be bigger or smaller? More or less monsters? More wide open spaces or more crawl spaces? By the way, the niches with the danger symbol inside DO have a purpose, in case you don't notice at first.
