The following is a collection of sound effects that I have edited using
SoundBlaster's Wave Studio.  I think that they are much more intense
than the original sounds included with Doom.  Just unzip into your Doom
directory and use the batch file listed below.

The files contained are:

boom1.wav - a new explosion sound
bang.wav  - a new plasma gun sound
bear.wav  - an extended growl that I use for the Barons dying, but is
  also effective for when he spots you
fire.wav  - a crackling fire sound for fireballs
shock.wav - new teleport sound adapted from - um - you know, one of
  those things they electrocute you with when your dying, I don't
  even know what it's called.

sound.bat - a batch file that lets you easily install the sounds
  contained herein.  just type 'sound' in your Doom directory and it
  extracts the original sounds (as *.raw, with the '*' being the number
  of the sound) and stores them in your directory, and then puts in
  the new sounds.

turnoff.bat - this batch file will reinstall your original Doom sounds.

sound.txt - Your reading it! 


ATTENTION:  You need DMAUD to run this program.  DMAUD is available in 
this library under 'dmaud.zip'.
