Dear purchaser of Assembly '95 CD-ROM! Demos are getting the utmost out of your computer. But it is sometimes an adventure to run them on a DOS machine. THIS IS NORMAL! Some demos will not instantly run on your machine. If you have problems, look into the manual for troubleshooting. Nevertheless, some demos might never work on your computer, as they did on Assembly '95 competition. All demos on this CD-ROM did run perfectly well at least on one of Romware's computers and on Assembly Organizing Inc.'s machines. If you have problems running the demos or animations with sound, you should check the settings of your soundcard. Some programs on Assembly '95 do not like soundcards with IRQ settings higher than 9 or DMA higher than 9. For SoundBlaster or compatibles try to use IRQ 5 or 7 and DMA 1, 3, or 9. When using Windows 95, you should better set the audio card settings manually, in the system control/system dialog, to the values proposed above. Under Windows 95 the START.EXE should be run in single process mode. All movies and animations on the CD-ROM are in MPEG-I format. You can also replay them with a third party MPEG-I player to get better results. Or you can install the .MPG files temporarily on hard disk. ROMWARE GmbH/hys
