The following is the plaintext of the file Cybersitter (http://www.solidoak.com/cysitter.htm) uses to block access to certain words and thoughts which it deems inappropriate for youngsters. The first section has the words and word fragments which Cybersitter scans for and removes from *all text* which is sent or received over an IP connection while the program is active. After that are the domain names which Cybersitter forbids access to. They range from sites which are sexually oriented like playboy.com, to sites which contain information about sexuality and gay/lesbian issues like glaad.org, to women's rights sites like now.org, to sites which criticize the product or censorware in general like www.glr.com or spectacle.org, to people who have personally offended Brian Milburn, CEO of Solid Oak, like peacefire.org, to a great number of university and ISP domains, some containing upwards of a million individual web pages, that were unlucky enough to have one web page, somewhere on their server, which Solid Oak considered objectionable. Solid Oak's official position is that every site on the list represents "...sites that are not suitable for children. Any site that focuses on topics such as adult or sexual issues, illegal activities, bigotry, racism, drugs, or pornography are included in the list." My belief is that Cybersitter's filtering shows evidence of bias and bigotry in the extreme, worthy of a true right-wing radical agenda. This posting is to ensure full disclosure of the list.
