(is The systems use repeaters with 45 Mhz between mobile (lower freq) and base. These are general allocations as non-trunked systems are usually in the lower 5Mhz and only trunked systems in the upper 5Mhz. However, any combination is possible. 824 to 849 is the mobile side of cellular and 869 to 894 the base side. 850 to 851 and 895 to 896 is used for aircraft public telephone. > that cellular!) Is there an up to date frequency list on the net? if you find one let me know. the best references are the radio shack police call book and in your area n5aux's DFW freq list. both are full of errors. if you have specific questions e-mail me. I'm an expert but i don't publish everything i know. > > > Rami Zureick > University of Texas at Arlington > Academic Computing Services > ================================ --------- 73, lrk utacfd.utarl.edu!letni!rwsys!kf5iw!k5qwb!lrk P.O. If you can go vertical seperation, try about 75-150 ft which should do it...both antennas need to be in a stright up and down line with each other...and use Belden 9913 or similar, NOT RG8 or single braided coax...a solid or double shield coax is a MUST in duplex work...of course if you get a duplexer, then you can use any good coax/heliax to the antenna but double shield is a MUST everywhere else, especially on a 2mtr rptr! Also, do not use cheap gear on a 2mtr rptr.....I have some GE MVPs coming that make a nice 2mtr rptr in the box and all they need are xtals and tuning into two meters...30 or so watts out and good helical rcvrs....$200 apiece if you're interested..(they also can be converted to 200 easily!!!) 73 Chris WB5ITT (I'll keep an eye open for duplexers for ya!) ------------------------------ End of Info-Hams Digest ******************************
