Here it is! The first public release of MegaRacers. There have
been a few private releases for the beta testing group but nothing that
had as many features and cool stuff as Version 1.01.
Mega Racers is your basic 3D racing game that completely
generates the playing screen every time it changes. While MegaRacers is
a little large (9298 byes = 9.2 K) it allows a much more enjoyable
playing experience then any racing game on the TI-85 ever before. Before
I list the features of the game let me give you the controls.

Title Screen commands:
EXIT - You don't want to quit
        UP - Move selector up
        DOWN - Move selector down

  Selections:
New Game - Play a new game
Best Times - See the best times list -Note: this features has
not been completed yet. If you select Best Times
your calculator WILL NOT LOCK but the contrast will
go up and down until you press up or down to select
                     either New Game or Exit.
Exit - This also allows you to exit

Track Selection:
ENTER - Selects track shown on screen and begins game.
Any other key - Flips to other track (in futures versions there
will be more then two tracks.

THE GAME!!!:
        UP - Accelerate
        Left - Turn left
        Right - Turn right
        ALPHA - Brake (blue button)
        MORE - Pause
GRAPH - Capture screen and quit game (see capturing feature)
        EXIT - Exit the game

Features of game and how to use them:
Two tracks - use either one of them
Realistic car movement - get around those turns, you might need
                                 to slow down.
Car slows down if you stop accelerating
Map of course - you are represented on map by little circle
Stats (rank, lap, time) - get around the course and through the
check point to reset your timer, lap
rank just tell your current stats, not
                                  very helpful in this version
Fully background that scrolls - kinda cool
Stuff that flys by you - you must be moving now

That's about it for features. If you want to know how to use the
screen capturing routine built into the game read the section
below. Other than that I hope you like this game so far! Don't
forget to check back at the Mega Racers Update Page
        (http://www.uic.edu/~hhstokes/megarace.htm) for future versions
of the game that will include other racers, both human and
        computer (link play and AI!!!!).

               Now play the game!!!!!!!

        Scren Capturing Feature:
Built into the game is a routine I built for capturing the
playing screen and promptly quitting, allowing the use to
know that the image has actually been captured (unlike in
Scrap2). In addition the capturing routine is very simple
              to use. Follow these steps:

       1. In the TI-OS press GRAPH.
       2. Still in the TI-85 selection F5 for the menu selection Graph
       3. Press CUSTOM and then F1 to begin ZShell.
       4. Start Mega Racers
       5. During game play if you want to capture the screen simply
press GRAPH and that's it! The image has been captured and the
game quits for you, allowing you to know the image has been
captured and stored in the graphing screen. Simply go there
save the screen as a picture and do with it as you want (just
don't put your name on it or anything).
