Welcome to the Hornet Mods CDROM!
This CDROM contains 726 songs, 73 music disks, and 31 utilities. All of
these files were cataloged on the Hornet Archive (hornet.org) between the
dates of:
May 27 22:41:10 and Sep 01 21:31:23
Also included are all Music Contest entries.
The modules come in the following formats:

The music disks are all in .zip format. View and Winview will
automatically extract these for you. Some of the music disks come with
custom players. In many cases, you can use the default players we have
supplied with our View/Winview browsers to play the songs directly.
The programs are provided as-is, use at your own risk. We (Walnut
Creek CDROM) can not provide support for these utilities. If you have
problems, you should contact the author of the program (an email address
is usually included with these things).
If you get the error "Can't find mfc40.dll" while trying to use either
Mikit for Windows or Midas '95, please copy \utils\mfc40.dll from this
CDROM to your \windows\system directory.

Quick Start Instructions:
MSDOS Quick Start:
Change to your CDROM drive and type "view".
Example:
C:\> D:
D:\> view
Windows 95:
Insert the cdrom into the cdrom drive. This will automatically
start a CDROM browser program called WinView.
Alternatively, you can also install the program group and icon
by selecting the "Start" menu and choosing "Run". At the Run
box, type: "D:\setup", assuming 'D' is your cdrom drive.
Using the 00_index.htm:
We have included 00_index.htm files so the user may use a Web
browser to view our disc.
In order to view this disc using these 00_index.htm files, point
your Web browser to the root level 00_index.htm file.
For example, in Netscape:
1. Click on "File"
2. Click on "Open File"
3. Choose your CDROM drive
4. Select the 00_index.htm file
In Internet Explorer:
1. Click on "File"
2. Click on "Open"
3. Click on "Browse"
4. Choose your CDROM drive
5. Select the 00_index.htm file

WinView and View
To make browsing the disc easier, we have included the program
WinView for Windows, and the program VIEW for MSDOS on the CDROM.
These programs allow you to page through index files, browse through
directories on the CD, view documentation and uncompress/install
the program(s) you want onto your hard disk. See /docs/view.doc
for more information.
