WinTex 3.4 DeuTex/DeuSF 3.4 Copyright (C) Olivier Montanuy 1995 This is the public release of WinTex/DeuTex 3.4 20 March 1995 DISTRIBUTE LIKE CRAZY WinTex is really powerful, but not completely trivial to figure, especially compared to much simpler tools like NWT. Hopefully, WinTex comes with a big help file that contains manuals, tutorial and reference, a on-context help system (press F1), a tutorial mode and blue help texts. So if you can't figure it out you should forget about building WADs right now :-) I hope this is as professional quality as you can expect from a Freeware product! Lots of work was invested in it, from me and from all my beta testers and supporters. Make great WADs with it! Requirements: You need VBRUN300.DLL, which is the Visual Basic runtime library. (It was installed when you ran the setup program on the CD-ROM.) Configuration: - Put all the files in a special WinTex directory, which must be readable and writable. (Sorry CD users, WinTex won't run from CD. This is because I'm unable to access my library correctly.) - You should also put deutex.exe somewhere in your path. copy it to C:\DOS or C:\WINDOWS for instance. Bug reports (I hope there aren't too many), Install troubles, Misbehaviours: e-mail to montanuy@dmi.ens.fr By reporting a bug you make sure that future versions will be better :-) Be kind to other users, report your bugs and suggestions. Enjoy, and happy dooming! Olivier Montanuy LEGALESE This is a Freeware but copyrighted product, NOT public domain. If you intend to distribute this produck on CD or DISK, you will first need my written agreement, and a free copy of the disk will help :-) RMB.EXE, TED.EXE, MIDI2MUS.EXE are included but shall not be distributed separately. If you want to distribute them, get the original package where those programs can be found (with manual and all the rest). USE AT YOUR OWN RISK It is not possible to guarantee that it will work will all Windows configuration. No one knows for sure what can happen under Windoze! I cannot be help reponsible for what happens when you use that program. I just did my best to make it as secure as possible. You have to trust my programming skills and my understanding of Windows. If they aren't good enough, you can try reprogramming me!
