Disclaimer 1. What is Help Edit --------------------- Adr_Book is a database program that prints mailing labels, an address booklet, envelopes, and several reports. The mailing labels can be printed by zip code order and with all capital letters for the name and address. Perfect for saving money on bulk mail rates. The envelopes can be printed in three popular sizes. The postnet code can be printed. Different fonts and point sizes can be specified for the return address and addressee. The address booklet is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. A perfect size for your own personal address book, but also great for organizations, clubs, and churches. 2. What is new since 1.2 ------------------------ a. A copy command places the currently active name and address into the clipboard for including into your word processor and other window aps. b. Envelopes can now be printed in portrait mode. c. The 'notes' free text can now be displayed on the graphical address book. This is accomplished as follows: Select the Notes check box under the Options/Display menu. If there is any note text for a given Name the word 'Notes..' will appear in inverse video in the turquoise area of the address book. Clicking on this area will cause a text box to pop up displaying the associated notes data. I suggest you test this - it is a very nice feature. d. The individual fields of a record can be selected for printing in the Pocket Address Book. For example, you can now print name and telephone numbers only for each record. e. Performance improvements for loading database files. 3. INSTALLATION ---------------- To perform the installation insert the floppy in drive A or B and run INSTALL.EXE from Windows. If all of the files are currently on your hard drive you can still install the program by running the INSTALL.EXE from Windows. 4. Why Register? ---------------- Registering brings with it a number of advantages. First of all you will not be limited to a database with a maximum of 50 records. You won't get the nag dialog box when you start Adr_Book. You will feel better.
