"Just What I Need" (JWIN) for EPOC v2.10F (Build 1533) Last Minute Release Notes ========================= These are VERY IMPORTANT notes for users installing JWIN via a SIS file. Please read these carefully (and turn 'Word wrap' on in your text viewer if possible to make it easier to read): All versions of JWIN prior to v1.10 had a read-only help file. If you are upgrading from a previous version of JWIN, the SIS installation will fail at the help file when it tries to overwrite the old copy. To get around this, please make sure that the Help file has NOT got the read-only attribute. To do this, navigate to \System\Apps\JWIN\, highlight the file "JWIN.HLP" and select 'Properties...' from the File menu. If there is a tick by the read-only option, please remove it and then tap OK. NO OTHER RELEASE NOTES FOR THIS VERSION. A readme file with more details will be displayed once you have installed JWIN with the SIS file (see below). If you require further details please consult the on-line Help file which is included with JWIN. This can be accessed from within the program itself, after installation is complete. Installing JWIN from the SIS file provided ========================================== The .ZIP file which accompanied this text file should contain 2 items: JWIN.sis - The main JWIN install data ReadThis.txt - This file If you do NOT have the "Add/remove" icon in the Control Panel of your Series 5/Geofox-One (i.e. you've not got Message Suite installed and are using a version of PsiWin/EPOC Connect prior to 2.1), you will need to re-visit my web site to download the "INSTEXE.EXE" file. The Add/remove icon in Control Panel is vital for SIS installations to work. Assuming you now have that Add/remove icon, simply copy JWIN.sis to your Series 5/Geofox-One and double-tap it from the System screen. The install program will do the rest. You should now be ready to run JWIN, and its icon should have appeared on the Extras bar. Simply click that to launch the JWIN software.
