FivePlay Mobile Music Sound Player V1.04 SIS Release, Psion UID, Fixes inc Documents folder fix. Revo compatibility. Fix to Stop & allow zero delay (min. 0.5s due to event latencies) By Steve Beadle steve_beadle@iee.org http://www.biblet.freeserve.co.uk What does it do? Lets you play selected multiple sound files in a sequence. It's a bit like an MP3 player, only it uses native Psion format sound files. (Why create an MP3 player for the Series 5 when the speaker cannot reproduce MP3 quality?) FivePlay lets you set up PlayLists which play your audio tracks in the order you want them. A 4 minute track takes up 2Mb, so to make this a practical proposition you really need a big CF disk to store an 'Album'. Many PC programs are available which 'rip' CD tracks and export then to WAV files - you can then use PsiWin to covert and copy them to the Series 5. I find that it's useful to approximately double the volume of the sound file before transferring it. Playing sound takes some current though, so you do need to watch your battery life. Installation Ensure that you have installed the 'Add/remove' installer program from Psion. Then run the FivePlay.SIS file. FivePlay should then appear as an Extras icon. How to use it Use the Select button or menu to add files to your playlist. Select files on the screen. Use the up and down arrows on the left to re-order the list and use the delete button to remove items from the list. Set the volume on the left of the screen. When playing, the volume will take effect for the next 'track'. Preferences Time Between Tracks Pauses after playing a track. Skin Sets the graphical background of FivePlayer. Note Volume changes while playing affect next track only. Copyright This program has been written by and belongs to Steve Beadle. It may be distributed freely as long as it is not altered or sold.
