Introduction:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FinCalc 2.0 is a fully-working shareware program which means you are free to download and
try out the program, but you are asked to register your copy if you continue to use it.
Unregistered copies of FinCalc contain "nag-screens" which remind you to register whenever
you use any of the financial functions.
FinCalc has been developed inresponse to what I perceived to be an ommission in the
built-in calculator on the Psion Series 5, i.e. the lack of financial functions. In
addition I found the keys too small to operate the calculator effectively... hence FinCalc!
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Functions:
~~~~~~~~~~
FinCalc5 is a shareware financial calculator for the Psion Series 5. It incorporates complex
discounted cashflow analysis into a user-friendly graphical interface.

FinCalc5 is designed principally for the financial professional, however it now also
incorporates some interactive graphical modules (see below) which allow for the easy entry
and manipulation of financial information for those less financially inclined.

FinCalc5 can be used for most calculations, ranging from complex discounted cash-flow analysis
to determine a project NPV, or for determining how much you can afford for a personal loan, be
it for a car/house/whatever...

Important:
~~~~~~~~~~
FinCalc has been extensively tested, however the author (Greg Love) shall not be held liable
in any way for any damage that may occur to you and/or your system(s) or anyone else as a
direct or indirect result of viewing or using or attempting to view or any reliance placed
on this programme and/or any associated files.
History:
~~~~~~~~
1 Sept 98 - Added two major modules and subsequently upgraded to version 2.0. Specifically:
                   - The interactive Loan payment calculator - "Quick-Loan Calculator"
                   - The Cashflow graphing module.
           - In addition, I added the following improvements:
                   - Option to save your loan or cashflow data.
                   - Option to enter multiple cashflows.
                   - Facility of converting between Effective and Nominal interest rates, in this
                     regard I added the function of entering the number of compounding periods p.a.

26 June 98 - I finally figured out how to handle the option of having payments in "Advance" or
             "Arrears", and included it!
           - Added "Cut, Copy & Pase" clipboard options, which work between all applications
             (Sheet,Word, Agenda etc).
           - Changed the shortcut keys to conform with the standard shortcut keys (i.e. 'Ctrl+C' = Copy).
           - Minor 'Menu-Bar' changes to support the above.

5 June 98 - Changed the installation directory from 'FinCalc' to 'FinCalc5' to avoid conflict
             with Palmtop BV's FinCalc which requiresthe former directory ;)

15 May 98 - Fixed some minor bugs in the IRR calculation (now managing multiple cashflow sign
             changes much more rigorously).

11 May 98 - Added a "Calc" option from both the Loan and the Cashflow Dialog Boxes, to allow
             the calculation of n, i, PV, Pmt & FV directly from the Loan entry screen and NPV
             and IRR from the Cashflow entryscreen to improve the programmes interactivity.
           - Revised Help file to expand and clarify the technical definitions of the above terms.
