I am proud to introduce version 3 of Quixx. I have spent many hours in between
my calls to produce this new quixx version. There are two files in this
package: QUIXX.COM which is a fully function older version of Quixx.
QUIXX3.COM which is the unregistered version of the newest release.
QUIXX.TXT which is the documentation for the unregistered version.

Features that Quixx3 has include:

1. The Warp Star Traveller Animation, in addition to the Quixx plasma. This
animation takes you on a rapid travel through space. Mode 20 will autoselect
to your highest monitor capability (CGA, EGA, standard VGA). Mode 21 and 22
take advantage of the Super Vga capability. However, you must have a multisync
monitor and at least 512K of video ram. In addition, because the Super Vga
modes are not standardized I can not guarentee that these modes will work
with all monitors. Use these with caution.

2. Hot-Key On-line parameter modification. In older versions you could only
modify the Quixx parameters from the command line. Now, by hitting the
hot-key sequence F1 F1 in succession a pop-up menu appears. From here you
can modify the time-out, animation mode, enable/disable and speed of animation.

3. Boss-Key. If you have a screen displayed that you do not want seen by
a passer-by you can hit the sequence Left CTR CTR. This will blank the
screen instantly. Hitting any key restores the screen. Any program that
is running will still execute fully behind the blanked screen.

Additional animation routines are being developed which will include 3D
graphics. Registered users will have access to these programs. While
Quixx.com is fully functional, Quixx3 will only activate FOUR times before it
becomes inactive. By registering a copy for $15 you will get a fully function
Quixx 3.x version. If you wish to register Quixx for a site the fee is $15 for
the first copy and $5 for each additional copy.

Please note if you have not used Quixx before that EXTENDED or EXPANDED memory
is highly recommended. In addition, Quixx is compatible with WINDOWS if you
load Quixx into EXTENDED memory before you load WINDOWS. A simple explaination
of Quixx's operation is provided by typing QUIXX ? at the command line.
