Requires VBRUN. [DOSICON] DOSIcon 1.10 (Soh, Kok Hong; $10) lets you replace the ugly minimized DOS icon with one of your choosing. Windows lets you replace the DOS icon while in the Program Manager, but it does not let you replace the icon you get when the DOS window is minimized on the Desktop. This utility overcomes that flaw. If you have a lot of icons to keep track of, this utility will be invaluable. [ICNLIBR] Icon Librarian 1.1 (Ledbetter, Keith ASP; $15) makes it easy to categorize, delete and change icons. You can organize up to 100,000 icons it 100 different categories. From there, you can drag-and-drop to get them where you want them, including assigning them to a file. An option lets you minimize the program when it is first run. Requires WIN31. [ICNPOWR] IconPower 2.5 (AZ Computer Innovations; $17) allows for the viewing and management of multiple Windows icon files. It will display as many icons as will fit into the display window. From the display window you may select any one of the icons that are shown and then rename it, delete it, or invoke your favorite icon editor. You can easily replace existing Program Manager icons by dragging an icon from the viewing window and dropping it on the icon that you wish to replace. Icons in EXE and DLL files are also supported. [ICOBMPC] Ico2Bmp 1.0 (Hawkins, Gary R.; $15) is a tool for converting icons into bitmap images. It can automatically convert one or a list of icon files to bitmap files giving the resulting bitmaps the same name as the icon files with a BMP extension. This can also function as a icon viewer. Once loaded, it causes all icons on your desktop to run away from the cursor. This makes it impossible to run any program by clicking on it's icon. You could try to run a program by using the Task List, but when the cursor crosses the frame of an open window, it automatically iconizes the program. It can also print customized icon catalogs with a single poster-sized icon to hundreds of icons per page. [IMNT34] Icon Manager for Windows NT 3.4 (Impact Software; $27) is a powerful tool for working with icons in the Windows NT operating environment. Icons can easily be moved, copied, and organized using a drag-and-drop interface. It can install icons directly into Program Manager or Norton Desktop using DDE, and cons may be edited using Windows Paintbrush. [LISTICO] ListIco 1.0 (Rabergeau, Philippe; $0) is a DOS utility that allows you to view a screen full of Windows 3 icons at one time. [MRICON] Mr. Icon 1.0 (Iseult Technology; $25) allows you to scan through an EXE or DLL file and view and extract all icons present. Other features include the ability to change the name of the currently viewed icon, the ability to add or delete icons to a file, and the ability to read BMP files as well as ICO files when replacing or adding an icon.
