Thank you for purchasing the Multimedia Collection CD-ROM. 
This disc contains a 
large collection of Multimedia source content 
designed to make it easy to put together a 
multimedia project.  
Whether you use PowerPoint, Premiere, or some other popular 
multimedia
program, this disc will provide you with a large variety of content for
your 
project.

This CD-ROM contains over 100 AVI Movies (Microsoft Video for windows),
over 150 
TrueType Fonts, over 100 Backgrounds (.BMP format), and over
200 Sound 
Effects(.WAV format). We chose these specific formats to 
ensure compatibility with most of the popular multimedia programs 
available today. The movies include a variety of 
subject matter from animals and kids 
to airplanes and telephones. You will find that the 
TrueType fonts 
scale nicely to any size making them ideal for lettering in any 
multimedia 
project. Use the Fonts control Panel found in the Main 
Window of your Program Manager 
to install the TrueType fonts. The 
backgrounds will add a splash of color to your project and even make 
a nice Windows background. And finally the sounds include everything from clicks and bangs to music and voices.

To install, launch Windows then choose RUN from the FILE menu. At the 
command line 
type D:\SETUP (Return) (where D is your CD-ROM drive). 
You now have the option 
to install Microsoft Video for Windows (AVI).
You will notice the Multimedia Collection, 
and the AVI Installer Icons
in your Program Manager window. You may now install AVI 
or continue 
if you already have AVI installed on your machine. To launch the 
Multimedia 
Browser simply click on its icon.
The browser program lets you preview everthing on the disc before 
copying it to your hard 
drive. Simply choose the category you want 
to look at from the Category pull-down 
menu, and then click on an 
item in the list to view and/or hear it. When you find an item 
you 
wish to copy simply click on the Copy button and then tell the 
program where you 
want the current file to be copied to. 
All of the "Clip Media" on this disc is completely license free. 
The only limitation is that 
the content of this disc may not be 
included on another product for resale as a library of 
"clip media" 
without permission of BeachWare.
