Subject: How to become an authorized Simtel.Net mirror site (970112)

If your Internet site wishes to mirror the Simtel.Net collections please
send e-mail to mirror@Simtel.Net.  There is no charge for this service.
The terms of the agreement are very liberal, however a mirror agreement
is required.  Sites already shown in our list of authorized mirror sites
do not need to re-apply.

To become an authorized mirror site you must agree to these simple
requirements:

 - Mirror sites are expected to carry whatever appears under the
   top-level simtelnet directory.  All information files, including
   the HEADER, .message and CDROM.TXT files must be included and must
   not be compressed.  No additional files or directories may be added
   without the express permission of the management of Simtel.Net.

 - Access must be free except for normal connect charges, if any.
   The mirror site shall be accessible by all Internet users,
   although limits on the number of simultaneous connections may
   be imposed to control network bandwidth usage.

 - You must affirm that you have read and understand README.COPYRIGHT
   which can be found in any of the top-level directories of our main
   collections.

 - Walnut Creek CDROM does not allow others to make CD-ROMs of our
   collections, however they do have good wholesale price arrangements
   for resellers.

Authorized Simtel.Net mirror sites are also permitted to mirror our HTML
web pages if they wish.  They use relative URLs to make them portable.
Sites which mirror our web pages will receive programs to convert our
comma delimited indexes to HTML indexes so the web pages are always
up-to-date with what is in the collections.  Details will be sent upon
completion of a mirror site agreement.
