I am a High School Debater, and am looking for Public Relations people from any Space companies that would like to help me. First a little back- ground. THE Nation Forensics League (NFL) has selected the Resolution for High School Debate Next year. It is: resolved: That the federal gov'r should significantly increase exploration of space. Since Debate is my only activity, I have plenty of time for search, and since I wanted to get ahead, I would like to contact as many Space and Aerospace companies as possible. The Resolution will be Debated by 1000's in the United States this year, and with a strong evidence backgroup, I hope to get ahead. Anyway, here is my request: If you are of an Aerospace or Space related company, or, have information on P.R. addresses of Aerospace Companies, or, are a High School Debater who would like to Trade evidence, or, are just an knowledgeable Space Enthusiast who would like to share information... Please contact Eric Lybeck 816 16th Ave SW Minot, ND 58701-6237 USA PLEASE NOTE ** The above does not limit the U.S.A. Information on ** JSA, ESA, or the Russian Space Program would be even ** more appreciated. If you would prefer to contact me through here, please write to: skar@plains.nodak.edu and I will forward it to Eric....Thank You -- Keith M. So, Jimmy, did you find the evil culprits who had schemed to silence your voice because they fear you so? Or, as any sane person would suspect, was there some perfectly normal explanation for it all? [I trust the smilies for the above are obvious.] > mordor!lll-tis!ames!ucsd!pnet01.cts.com!jim@angband.s1.gov (Jim Bowery) > Okay, Freddy, you've been talkin a lot -- when was the last time > YOU visited YOUR Congressional representative Well, golly gee whiz, SuperJim, some of us kinda gotta work at jobs where our bosses have all these unfair expectations about us coming to work, you know? That being the case, and Texas being kinda large, I haven't had time make the trip to run them all down since I've been down here. For those reasons I've unfortunately had to restrict myself to letters, unlike at home where I lived much closer to where my representatives were and where, being in school, I could arrange to take off more easily. What was it you said you do for a living again, Jimmy, and how far from your representatives are you? > and what SPECIFIC input did you give him? If I'd wanted *you* to know, I'd have invited you, Jimmy. I believe my last letter (to my Senator) was something about drug testing. It seems we disagree about it. Are you really so hugely arrogant as to think you're the only one involved in anything? Just because someone doesn't run their mouth constantly to pump up their own self-importance the way you do doesn't mean they aren't doing things. Frankly, given your overbearing, extremist, foaming-at-the-mouth approach to everything, I think you probably do your pet causes more harm than good. I know that if I were a Congresscritter and you are anything in person like you are on the net, I certainly wouldn't be in favor of anything you came to my office to advocate. I'd figure that anything someone like you was in favor of probably needed a long, hard look for flaws before I even considered it. But then, I can't believe anyone could possibly be in person the way you are on the net, either. Do us all a favor, Jim. Stick to the more factual postings (which often aren't too bad) and leave the political diatribe to others. Right now, you just sound silly. ============================================================================== | Fred McCall (mccall@skvax1.ti.com) | "Insisting on perfect safety is for | | Advanced Systems Division | people who don't have the balls to | | Defense Systems & Electronics Group | live in the real world." | | Texas Instruments, Inc. | -- Mary Shafer | +-------------------------------------+--------------------------------------+ | I speak for me.
