Mercury is the closet planet to the Sun. It has a suface much like
the Moon, in that it has a rocky suface pocketed by crators. It is
not the hotest planet in the solar system, even though it is the
closest. It has also been recently discovered that Mercury has small
ice caps, something that was not thought possible.
