*------------------------------------* | Sliding Puzzle | | | | An Extend-O-Save Module for Warp 9 | | | | ½ 1993 CodeHead Technologies | | By John Eidsvoog | *------------------------------------* Sliding Puzzle requires Warp 9. This module is freeware from CodeHead Technologies and works in all resolutions on all monitors. Sliding Puzzle divides your screen into little blocks, randomly blackens one of them, and then begins randomly sliding pieces around like the little "Sliding Puzzle" that most of us are familiar with. *-----------------------* | Configuration Options | *-----------------------* Columns/Rows: ------------- These two settings determine the number and size of the blocks. You may select 5, 10, or 20 blocks in either horizontal or vertical directions, giving you a total of 25, 50, 100, 200, or 400 blocks. Speed: ------ The speed box contains a short vertical line which denotes the current speed setting. You can click anywhere in the speed box to set a different speed, or you can drag the mouse within the box. There are 16 relative speeds to choose from. In some resolutions, you'll find that the slowest or fastest settings are too extreme, but these speed exist to provide sufficient variety in all resolutions. It should not be hard to find a speed setting that you like no matter what resolution you use. Test: ----- When you click in the "Test" box, the puzzle will immediately be set into motion so that you can examine the effect of the current settings. This test mode will remain in effect until you once again click the left mouse button. NOTE: Clicking in the test box, causes the settings in the dialog box to become "current". You will not revert to your original settings by selecting Cancel. Alt. Screen ----------- This button allows you to select which screen mode you want. Normally, you'll want to keep this button selected since it means that any other screen activity will occur behind the scenes without affecting the Sliding Puzzle. If you find that Sliding Puzzle doesn't work correctly with "Alt. Screen" selected, you should try disabling it. Users of Moniterm monitors will need to disable it. OK / Save / Cancel: ------------------- Any of these buttons will exit the Options box. If you click on Cancel, none of the changes you make will take effect. If you click on OK, the changes will take effect. If you click on Save, the changes you've made will be saved permanently into Sliding Puzzle. Do not rename (or compress) PUZZLE.EXT or you will be unable to save your settings. Enjoy!
