INTRODUCTION

This file is a save-disabled demo version of the Newdesk Icon Editor CPX
version 2.0. All features are active except for the following:

                        Disk Functions - Save
                        Clipboard - Cut
                        Clipboard - Copy
                        Save NEWDESK.INF
                        Window Closer Saves All

The above clipboard functions were disabled because they write a disk file
containing icon data.

The Newdesk Icon Editor CPX V2.0 requires TOS 2.05 or greater to take
advantage of its many features. All Atari machines will run this program,
however, to edit 32x32 icons for programs like Hyperlink and any resource
construction set. As a CPX it takes less than 1k of system memory until
called.

USAGE

No detailed instructions are really necessary to operate the CPX. We feel
that in this case experimentation is the best way to really learn about
this program. For a detailed features list see the enclosed press release.

We have, however, included below a list of keyboard equivalents as a few of
the color changing features may only be accessed using the keyboard.

      F3 - Icon Assignment Screen
      F4 - Disk Access Screen
      F5 - Work with DATA

      F8 - Preview On/Off
      F9 - Previous Icon
     F10 - Next Icon

Shift F1 - Add (Append)
Shift F2 - Cut         
Shift F3 - Copy       
Shift F4 - Paste
Shift F5 - Delete
Shift F6 - Add (Insert)

   Alt D - Data to Mask (or Mask to Data)
   Alt C - Clear Icon
   Alt F - FloodFill Icon
   Alt I - Invert
   Alt V - V-Flip
   Alt H - H-Flip
   Alt R - Rotate
   Alt - - Background color down
   Alt + - Background color up
   Alt 7 - Preview Color down
   Alt 8 - Preview Color up
   Alt 9 - Preview Fill down
