Atari Explorer Viewer v1.0 --Thank you for choosing a Digital Media Product-- This program is FREEWARE. You may distribute the Explorer Viewer freely as long as the entire archive stays in its original form. Digital Media is not responsible for any damage this software may cause to your computer and/or storage device(s). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Atari Explorer Viewer by Eric R. Goodman We must warn you that this is not feature-packed, state-of-the-art, top-of-the-line, golden disk award winning (well you get the idea) software. We felt that Explorer readers should not have to go into a Word Processor to read a magazine. There usually is a Table of Contents in a magazine that has a page number. Wouldn't it be great just to click on an article of interest and go right to it? How about when you are done reading the article you can zip right back to the Table of Contents with a click. Well, with this viewer you can experience this "Browsing Breakthrough." INSTRUCTIONS When you open AEO_VIEW.PRG the program will display a file selector. (NOTE: We recommend placing AEO_VIEW.PRG in the same directory as your Explorer files, as the program defaults to the current directory.) After selecting the Explorer you wish to read you may notice the file's size at the bottom of the screen. At this time the Explorer Viewer is scanning the file for all of its articles and at the same time creating a Table of Contents. You will know when it has finished when the article selector bar appears at the top of the screen hilighting the first article. Selecting an article Use the mouse or arrow keys to select your article. When you have selected press either the left mouse button or return to read the article. (ANOTHER NOTE: Depending on if you own a Hard Drive the search time may vary. However, it is quite fast. The Explorer viewer takes very little memory to operate therefore it does NOT load the files into RAM.) While you are at the Table of Contents you may press the RIGHT mouse button to quit. You will be prompted. Reading an article When reading an article the following options are available: Right mouse button = Return to the Table of Contents. Left mouse button = Scroll text down. Space Bar = Scroll text down. Escape = Exit Explorer Viewer. You will be prompted. Help/Undo = Toggle colors. Mouse Up = Scroll text up. Up Arrow = Scroll text up. THAT'S IT! That's really all there is to it. If there is support (all I need is a reply @ GEnie to E.GOODMAN1) we will expand the program to include: TT rez support. Text in windows. Toggle if file is to be viewed from disk or RAM. Print individual articles, etc... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Also Try DIGITAL MEDIA's DeskMaster and our STReport viewer! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ DESKMSTR.LZH and STR_VIEW.LZH on GEnie For more information please contact: E.GOODMAN1 on GEnie or call: (602) 483-3494 (602) 998-4997 write: Digital Media 8812 North 65th Street Paradise Valley, AZ 85253
