The only requirement for being on this list is that your MBAS offers said materials, in addition to whatever else you choose to carry. This is version 1.6 of the list, and is current as of 08/01/94. Changes between 1.5 and 1.6 are: o Removal of Railnet MBAS, as per Rick DeMattia's request. It is down for an indefinite period of time, but will be returning. o The RAVENLOFT MBAS changed its name to The FAERUN MBAS. A few comments: o On the INDEX and HELP lines, you will see something in single quotes, following optionally by a '+' sign and another string. This represents what you need to type in to achieve the desired results, noting the following changes: 1. Do not type the quotes. This is just a visual delimiter. 2. Replace every '+' with a return. For example: 'dir'+'quit' would become: dir quit Please note that all commands -must- start in column #1 (IE: all the way over on the left). I know, this sounds silly, but you watch... some one will mess it up... :-) o Mirrors: This line represents a list of other sites that are 'mirrored'. In other words, if I mirror you, anyone can count on the fact that if you have a piece of software available, I will too. This does not garauntee any degree of timeliness. o Quotas: The following conventions are used: 1. System: The maximum traffic (in kilobytes) that will be processed daily, in terms of outbound requests. 2. User: The maximum traffic (in kilobytes) any given user can request, per 'order'. This is a daily limit. 3. Queue: The maximum traffic (in kilobytes) that will be spooled for processing at a later date, either due to System or User quotas being filled. o Where to mail to? If you want to request a file, contact the address listed on the SERVER line. If you have a problem, send mail to the address on the Administrative line. I know this seems simple enough, but you never can be too sure. Remember, the people who run these MBAS's are doing so on their own time and at their own expense. Let's not waste their efforts. Feel free to request what you want, but keep in mind that every site in between yours and his has to send, and recieve, every byte of every program you request. In many cases, this traffic costs money. Spend their money like you'd spend your own. If you have too much, let me know... I'll help you spend it... :-) Ah well, enough preaching. If you'd like your site to be added to this list, just send me all of the information you see in the entries below. Again, the only requirement is that you carry Waffle support materials. This does not mean that you can't carry other things. In fact, I encourage you to do so. If you have any comments, corrections, etc, please feel free to mail me. --Jeff Gostin jgostin@eternal.pha.pa.us ============================================================================= Villa CyberSpace MBAS Roy M.
