APPLICATION: To give your computer sentience, LIFE...  Also a sigil exercise
             method is explored.

TECHNIQUE: Cyber Ritual Evocation

          One of many applications for a AL computer is the creation of a 
sigil with a draw program. Once the sigil is made, enter it into the AL 
software for sigils. Then the software could create a Gif or Ansi of the 
demon to appear on the monitor screen. (another idea is a animated funnel
like cloudish hell your looking into to, etc, etc...) The AL program could
even make erie noises or something to that effect via a soundboard, and could
even speak at the programers cue like when the conjurer says I see you Belial,
the programer could hit a key, and the computer might respond cryptically
"Why have you stirred me from the Abyss of your soul". Whatever it says it
should be programed by the scribe (programer), and the scribe should 
variations each rite. The demon should also seem to struggle a little, to make
the programer put more into it. These prog. responses, etc... should be kept
at a minimum. The job of the scribe is to program the computer, to operate the
system, and to program the rite (or you might say the magickians mind) when
S/He finds it necessary. S/He only uses these computer responses when S/He
thinks (by visual cues, and what the magickians saying, like if the conjurer
continuously calls the spirits name with out seeming to achieve contact, or
if it sounds as though he might be loosing the spirit) that the magickian
needs some artificial reinforcing. This is the essence of cyber evocation,
strengthening the reality of the magick, by the use of technology to
create a artificial material environment that corresponds to the world of
maya. Another suggestion is that the scribe should either stay out of the site
of the conjurer (though he must still be able to see the Magickian) or be
sitting aside. The scribe mans the keyboard, with the case and monitor on table
or alter in the circle (or for a more traditional ritual setting) in a 
triangle. Once the evoked entity appears and you go through all the procedures
(explain that you have a task for it, persuade or coerce it into accepting,
then tells it to begin its mission) when the magickian sees the entity fully
absorbed into the computer and finishes banishing, the scribe then begins the
final routine.Which could be like having the sigil on the screen, and have the
voice of the spirit chant the mantra that corresponds to the sigil, and when
the demon chants the sigil glows. Another aspect of the procedures is the
evoker must tell the spirit for how long S/He wishes the spirit to charge the
sigil, the scribe programs the computer to run the sigil routine for the same
amount of time. Once the time has come for the casting to end, then the final
event sequence begins, like... A bright flash occurs on the screen, and then
all is dark (as the chaosist sun) the demon appears on the screen, being drawn 
to a funnel cloud in the distance, eventually devoured by it - it screams
and grumbles, which even the sound is eventually totally devoured by the
roar of the vacuum, once the entity vanishes, the screen goes blank, and the 
program either turns itself off or goes to DOS. That is one example of an 
ending sequence, just as this article was one example of how one could
achieve artificial Life with your computer, and one idea (out of...) of what
could theoretically be achieved. I've also introduced you to an idea that can
stand alone in importance to cyber magick, that being - Cyber Evocation. Which
is actually a very old ancient concept, back to the time when our paeolithic
ancestors, invoked and evoked the Horned god, covered in the fur and horns of
a wild beast, that was ritually killed for just such a purpose. Or to the
Hermetic ceremonial traditions of dressing in egyptian garb and costumes so
to drunken the senses, these assist in delivering the initiates into that
other realm they are artificially creating, so that through mad dance or
being enveloped by a magickal environment, gnosis can be attained, and reality
is no longer material or artificial, but is Maya. And it is this idea that I've
here attempted to innovate. From the moment I learned of its conception I've
always known that this would revolutionize the world, the material - which
happens to be the gateway to the Nether realms. I 'll sum up by saying... BE
VERY AFRAID, very very afraid, your friendly little medium for exploring
cyberspace, might start taking on a personality of its own, You might just
find that Azag Thoth "the Blind Mad god of CHAOS" has control of your Hard
drive ! (and you thought viruses were a bit frustrating) Though I can
assure you that if you found yourself in this deep of a predicament, your
Hard drive would certainly be the least (least!) of your worries...
