Author : Arjen Schouten A.K.A. : Dead Rambo Email Address : famschou@worldaccess.nl Misc. Author Info : Author of a couple of DooM/DooM2 WADS, ROTT maps, WarCraft2 maps Duke3d MAPS and of course Quake levels. Oh yeah, I'm 16. Previous Quake BSP's : None yet. I'm getting fuckin' crazy of VIS man! Description : Pretty cool deathmatcher, although it looks kinda crap (ie. unfinished), it's still cooler then a lot of other people's levels. Nice multiple levels. There are some elevators. Weapons included: Supershotgun, Supernailgun, Rocketlauncher and Lightning gun. Be sure to read the My Troubles part. I included the MAP file for you to compile if you have a monster machine (Pentium 666 w/ 666m megs). My Troubles part : Okay, I had some trouble with this map. After creating it I tried to run QBSP on it, but the fucking program hanged (I think). So I removed some complex (read: COOL) parts. QBSP worked and LIGHT too. This time VIS took very long, and I thought it hanged. So some 2 months later I tried it again, I ran VIS with the -fast parameter, which took not too long. But my map now had those damn gray walls in it. So I ran VIS again over the same BSP file, it took almost four fucking hours! Damn it! And still I had those gray bits, so I dis QBSP, LIGHT and VIS again but now all at full. QBSP and LIGHT ran fine then came VIS. I started it before I went to school (about 8 in the morning) and when I came back, it still wasn't ready. So I let it run till 8 in the evening, then I pressed the button that says 'reset' on my computer. At this moment I was VERY pissed. So I decided to just let it go and release it, with gray bits in it. Additional Credits to : Id Software. The guys who did Quest and the QBSP/ LIGHT/VIS compiler. Greetz : hmmm, who shall I greet this time? Bill Gates? Hi Bill!! And ofcourse the usual bunch: Johnny DLC, Graffix, Acid V, Terminator, Santa claus. ____________________________________________________________________________ |____________________________________________________________________________| * Play Information * Episode and Level # : Quake mapfile (BSP) Single Player : Well, no.
