================================================================ Title : The Waterpit Filename : WATERPIT.BSP Author : Matt Bollier Email Address : 103220.3302@compuserve.com Description : This is a cool deathmatch arena. Lotsa floating platforms (some are moving) and bridges spanning between them. Also an underwater area. Nice lighting effects combined with the unusual architecture make for a really cool DM experience. This level is based upon LAVAPIT, but lots has been added since then. You'll notice you can jump off the side of the map. Do it, and you'll fall into a pit of slime (not good) I suppose I should have just made it so you couldn't jump at all, but then the sky wouldn't look so cool :) Additional Credits to : Dalias (Quake Studio, LAVAPIT), ID ================================================================ * Play Information * Single Player : Yes Cooperative : No Deathmatch : Yes Difficulty Settings : No New Sounds : No New Graphics : No New Music : No Demos Replaced : None * Construction * Base : Used LAVAPIT as a base Editor(s) used : Quake Studio 0.2-0.8, MS-EDIT Known Bugs : None Build Time : About 20 hours ========================================================= BSP BUILD TIMES (on a Pentium 60 w/ 16mb RAM) QBSP: 48 seconds LIGHT: 31 seconds VIS: 315 seconds ========================================================= * Other Info * This map has been compiled to run in Quake v1.01+ registered only. If you thought this level was crap for structure, you're prolly right. After all, I used MS-EDIT for a good portion of this map. My next level, Thorn Garden, is about 100 times better.
