Neighborhoods
Vienna proper is divided into three districts, and each contains many distinct neighborhoods. The Innere Stadt (Inner City) is considered the first district, where most of the city's best-known monuments, museums, and shops are located; the Danube Canal and the Ringstrasse form its border. The second district is north and east of the Inner Stadt, and the third lies further east.
