It has bounced back from the 19th century with amazing flair, successfully introducing modern conveniences without forgetting its neoclassical beginnings. Each room's decor is pleasingly different from the others. There are 95 rooms with marble bath and whirlpool, and TV; some have a terrace and solarium. There are also eight suites and ten junior suites, and a charming restaurant, which is moved outside onto the terrace in the summer. Although the prices have certainly gone skyward, manager Silvano Pinchetti has brought his considerable skills to bear, and the rewards are especially worthwhile.
