Some Tuscan wine moguls have created this country-cozy nook in the Antinori Palace as a showcase for their excellent wines. There's a small ground-floor restaurant with communal tables plus balcony in case there's a crowd. Lots of stylish people sip wines by the glass at the stand-up bar. Although emphasis is on regional wines, the moderately priced food is exciting and encompasses several regions of Italy—wild boar sausage, squid stewed with spinach and a spicy tomato sauce. Light eaters can also have a sandwich, a salad, or an espresso. A reasonable choice if you are sightseeing near the Duomo or browsing along Florence's main shopping via. It's a pity this restaurant is closed on weekends.
