Description
Throngs of American businesspeople continue to pour in to one of the most talked-about and visited trattorias here; it's also popular with local boutique owners. Once a little hole-in-the-wall (founded back in 1946), there are now several dining rooms, decorated with paintings by local artists who used to trade canvas creations for culinary ones. While the prices knock it out of the trattoria league, the atmosphere is still that of a rough-and-tumble hash house. The food can be outstanding, especially if you arrive with somebody who is known to the young management.
