Description
Enoteca Pinchiorri is universally recognized as one of Italy's great restaurants; Michelin has granted it three stars. The setting, in an exceptional Renaissance palace with elegant and chandeliered interior dining rooms and a lovely garden courtyard for warm-weather luncheons, is equal to the wine and food. Homespun effects, incorporating a hearth, aristocratic stemware and even colorful majolica porcelain, are evocative of high times and old times—only the cuisine is nouvelle. A mere ten tables, supervised by Giorgio Pinchiorri and Annie Feolde; generous variety in both its gustatory presentations as well as from its 60,000-bottle cave.

Although some of the dishes may seem French-influenced Italian, many are creative reinterpretations of the most Tuscan fare. The offerings change constantly, from traditional grilled rabbit with fagioli to lasagne with crabmeat and wild fennel. The wine cellar is among the most extensive in Europe, and a special price can be paid for winetasting to accompany each course.
