Description
Il Cibreo treats pasta with disdain, refusing to prepare it because it arrived in Italy too late to be traditional. No matter how traditional this restaurant, the preparations are inventive and refined: artichokes, but as a flan appetizer; thick soup, but made of yellow peppers traced with parmesan; rabbit, but with lemon peel and egg. The day's menu is given verbally, in English if wanted; the prices for each course are printed. In summer, the tables spill over to the sidewalk and year-round you can try for one of the bare trattoria tables in a back room, where the prices are more moderate.
