Description
A bit beyond the Piazza San Marco is Taverna del Bronzino, comfortably housed in the Renaissance home of the Mannerist painter and now a popular spot for Florentines. The food is as pleasing as the easy ambience, from the crostini of mushrooms on polenta and the Roman-style feast of vegetables (a plate of the day's contorni) to the secondi that include some seafood. While the pasta dishes are good if generic, for a real taste of Florentine cooking try the entrées, like the superb osso buco.
