Gondola Rides
Once a must-do activity, the much touted and still romantic gondola rides on the Grand Canal now cost about 70,000 lire (around $50) for 40 minutes; often travelers double or triple up to be able to afford the ride. It's worth it, just once, especially with someone special, along with a bottle of something and a hamper of goodies.
