Description
A high-priced dining adventure, the Caravella has a gorgeous room and unusually savory culinary preparations. At the entrance, there's a bar with cozy tables. The two-tiered interior dining room has antique-style woodlined walls and brass lamps that impart a soft glow. There are lots of gay explosions of fresh flowers everywhere. Specialties include lobster, spaghetti Venetian-style (with a mixture of sautéed onions and anchovies that might be too seasoned for many palates), spider crab, and sole. In season, the larded hare is exceptional on a cool day.
