To use desktop themes you need the Windows 95 Plus! Pack or Windows 98. If you are using Windows 95 and don't have the Plus! Pack there is a shareware application allowing you to use themes. You can also create your own themes with it as well.

Use Winzip to double click on the zip file smegarama.zip. Extract to C:\ and make sure the "use folder names" option has a tick by it. This will install the theme and its components automatically on most computers.

If your themes directory isn't at the default setting of "C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes" then you will instead have to create a directory called "Red Dwarf Smegarama" within your themes directory and extract the files to that directory. The .theme file should be placed in the themes directory.

Installation Of Startup / Shutdown Screens

This theme also includes original startup / shutdown screens. You may want to back up your original screens first.

• logo.sys - This is the startup screen and should be copied to C:\
• logow.sys - This is the waiting to shutdown screen. Copy it to C:\Windows
• logos.sys - This is the shutdown screen. Copy it to C:\Windows
